​The Majestics Dance Team recently received news that their Team Hip Hop routine from the Spring 2020 competition season ranked in the Top 20 team performances of 2020!!!
On Saturday, February 22nd The Majestics Dance Team attended the Crowd Pleasers Frisco Showcase dance competition hosted at Lebanon Trail High School. 7 team routines, 7 solos, 1 trio, and 18 hours later...the girls won many top awards, representing Lovejoy with high honors!!!

Captain Kylee Reinke (senior) was ranked as a solo semi-finalist placing in the top 25 out of the
competition!!!

​The Majestics prepared 11 pieces of choreography to compete this year!   To be eligible for the highest awards, both the dance team and officer squad had to compete in three categories of dance. Congratulations to the following students:

The Majestics Dance Team earned the following:

~Super Sweepstakes (scoring a 90+ on three dances) - hip hop, pom and novelty
~Technique (earned on three routines emphasizing execution, extension and precision)
~Choreography Awards - Pom, Hip Hop and Novelty
~High Point Awards - Pom, Hip hop and Novelty (highest score in every dance category)
~Best In Class for Medium-sized Team (Highest score within class)
~Winners Circle - 2nd place overall score for entire competition. 
(This award competes all teams against one another for a final score rank and placement)
 

The Majestics Officers earned the following:

Superior (scoring a division I in two or less dances) in Hip hop and Contemporary
Choreography awards for hip hop and contemporary.
The officers only competed in 2 categories at this competition and therefore were unable to qualify for all top honors.  We will compete three categories in our next upcoming competition.
 

This was the FIRST time in our history to compete the officers.
